6vin.com is a short link and QR code service for auto dealers — similar to TinyURL or Bitly, built specifically for vehicle inventory. A QR code goes in the window. A buyer scans it. They land on the listing. That's it.
It takes a vehicle's VIN number, creates a short redirect link and a printable QR code, and points both at the dealer's listing page. When someone scans the QR code or types the short link, they go directly to that vehicle's page on the dealer's website.
Auto dealers — new, used, independent, franchise. Also RV, motorcycle, and boat dealers. Basically anyone who sells vehicles from a physical lot and wants buyers to be able to self-serve information outside of business hours.
Links are active for 7 days from the time they are created or last renewed. Dealers upload their current inventory list once a week — vehicles still on the lot get renewed automatically, sold vehicles simply expire and fall off. No manual cleanup needed.
A dealer dashboard where you can manage your inventory links, see scan activity, download QR codes, and batch import your full inventory from a spreadsheet. Accounts include a 30-day free trial. After that, plans start at $5.99/month for up to 50 vehicles.
Yes. Dealers can order printed vinyl QR code stickers and window bracket kits through 6vin.com. We print and mail them. Dealers can also download the QR image and print their own.
Yes. Any vehicle with a VIN or serial number works. For older vehicles or equipment that use shorter serial numbers, we zero-pad to 17 digits — a common practice already used by most dealer management systems.
6vin.com is a product of jobJSON LLC, based in Topeka, Kansas. Dealers who use 6vin.com are also eligible for a free business listing on jobJSON.ai, a structured employment platform for employers and job seekers. The two services are separate — there is no automatic account sharing.
What we count: Every time a QR code or short link is used, we record that a scan occurred — the time, whether it came from a mobile device, and the referring URL if one exists. This gives dealers a count of after-hours interest in their vehicles.
What we do not collect: We do not collect names, email addresses, GPS location, device identifiers, or any information that identifies the person scanning. Scan reports show dealers aggregate counts — not individual user data.
Dealer data: Dealer accounts include a name, domain, email address, and phone number. This information is used to operate the service and is not sold or shared with third parties.
Cookies: We use a session cookie to keep dealers logged in to their dashboard. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

What this service is: 6vin.com is a URL redirect service. It works the same way as TinyURL, Bitly, or short.io — a short link points to a longer destination URL. We do not host vehicle listings, photos, pricing, or any content from dealer websites. We only redirect.
Dealer responsibility: Dealers are responsible for the accuracy of the destination URLs they submit. 6vin.com is not responsible for the content of third-party websites that links point to.
Link expiry: Links are temporary by design. They expire after 7 days unless renewed. 6vin.com is not liable for expired links or any inconvenience caused by a link no longer being active.
Acceptable use: Links must point to legitimate vehicle listings on real dealer websites. Links pointing to spam, malware, or deceptive content will be removed and the account suspended.
Service availability: We make reasonable efforts to keep the service running but do not guarantee uptime. This is a hosted web service — the same reasonable expectations apply as any other website.
By using 6vin.com you acknowledge that it is a redirect utility, not a vehicle marketplace, and that scan counts are provided for informational purposes only.
